Content Editor Harriet is shopping for her new home and this luxurious-looking statement chair caught her eye
Any new home buyer or renter will know that getting into a new space unleashes a new wave of interior design inspiration. I’m in that boat myself, so I’ve been scouring online deals for ways to add furniture in our new home for less, and this luxurious-looking olive accent chair has caught my eye.
Now at Dusk for £139, this accent chair brings a modern, yet understated, look and pasting in the code EXTRA15 at checkout cuts it down to £118.15. Ideal for dressing up our first house, which is ten times the size of our old pokey city centre rental.
It would go perfectly in a living room or as a statement in a bedroom. It has an upholstered cushioned seat and backrest with a sleek black frame, but it was the deep olive colour that stood out to me.

As someone who usually goes for neutrals and beige, the colour could add a sophisticated warmth to a room. Especially if placed next to a side table with a brass wireless lamp – like the Lucille Ornate rechargeable one, also from Dusk, it’s now £35.
Olive is also said to pair well with marble. This Ceramic Vase from M&S is on my list as it’s a statement piece, but below £40, a decent size for the price and would go well, along with the chair, with this Marble Trinket Tray from Next , all together creating a luxurious look.
Rae Accent Chair in Dark Olive

The Dark Olive Rae Chair is designed to add a statement to a room. With the deep colour adding a warmth to neutral matching interiors like wood, beige, and white. The code EXTRA15 cuts the price in a sale at checkout.
The earthy-toned chair comes in a range of other colours too, ideal for those who like the style and shape but want a different shade. Colours include charcoal, taupe, light beige, and a super out there cow print – a playful, warm pattern for neutral homes.
“These chairs in natural light are so chic” said one Dusk review, who bought them alongside the Harper Dining Table. Another explained that they would ‘recommend’ after ordering the lighter grey chair, they said: “Great quality and very comfortable.”
A shopper who picked the cow print version of the chair said: “Absolutely love it, looks so good in the corner of my living room. Even the cat approves.”
Like me, another shopper was drawn to the design of the chair, however, they did mention a flaw worth highlighting: “I was attracted to the style of the chairs.
“Appears to be comfortable…the only tiny issue is that the cushion should have been right to the edge because you can feel the bar on your leg.”
