Crimson Desert fans can download another new update, as developer Pearl Abyss drops a surprise patch to end the week. The new Crimson Desert update is out now on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The new update continues to make improvements and fixes to the massive open-world game. For example, it fixes an issue where shining a lantern on an NPC would not make their belongings visible, and where Thornbriar Fortress could not be liberated.

As you can see from the patch notes further down the page, Pearl Abyss has solved a rather annoying issue where some items would disappear from the Trade Goods Storage when loading certain save files. Likewise, fans can expect a fix for a problem where chaining “Descending Force Palm” after “Aerial Force Palm” did not function properly in certain situations.

The launch of the new update coincides with a further boost in the Crimson Desert review scores on Steam, which are up to ‘Very Positive’ in the English Reviews section.

The game initially launched to mixed reviews, with the game containing various bugs and control issues.

The steady stream of updates has improved how the game plays, made the experience even smoother and even added new content.

The improvements are so vast that the game is now called Crimson Desert Enhanced.

You can check out the Crimson Desert Enhanced patch notes below.

• Fixed an issue where shining a lantern on an NPC would not make their belongings visible.

• Fixed an issue where housing would not become available when raising the banner at Howling Hill Camp while the inventory was full.

• Fixed an issue where Thornbriar Fortress could not be liberated.

• Fixed an issue where some items would disappear from the Trade Goods Storage when loading certain save files.

• Fixed an issue where the letter would disappear during “The Words of Alustin” in certain situations, preventing quest progression.

• Fixed an issue where chaining “Descending Force Palm” after “Aerial Force Palm” did not function properly in certain situations.

• Fixed an issue where UI text would appear to shake in certain situations.

• Fixed an issue where the game would crash when starting a new game with DLSS Frame Generation enabled.

• Fixed various localisation errors and improved localisation quality across all languages.

• Fixed an issue where certain Arabic text would not display correctly.

• Fixed an issue where visual noise on armor was particularly noticeable indoors.

• Fixed an issue where Kliff’s appeared unnatural when wearing the Crow Cloth Blindfold with certain settings enabled.
