Best friends Alan Carr and Amanda Holden have been a duo for years, having met more than two decades ago.

Now, though, they’ve been putting their friendship to the test, taking on one of the most intimidating of tasks – renovating a house.

In the latest series of their BBC show, Amanda & Alan’s Greek Job, the pair embarked on the challenge of refurbishing an empty stone villa in a quiet village in Corfu.

The property in Kokkini, not far inland from Kassiopi, has now been named ‘Alamanda’ – and you can now see the full extent of the renovations.

The Mediterranean property has officially gone on the market on Rightmove, advertised as a two-bedroom home featuring sea views and listed for €675,000 (£589,700).

According to the listing, it has been ‘fully and sensitively restored by a well-known local developer’, and has ‘interesting design features and modern facilities, whilst maintaining plenty of traditional features’.

There’s also a fenced garden that’s been well kept and pruned, surrounding the house.

Here’s an insider look at the property – from its living room to the country-style kitchen…

The listing continues: ‘Entry into the main living accommodation is on the ground floor, into the fabulous country-style kitchen with a high beamed ceiling.

‘Custom-built units with marble worktops offer lots of practical workspace and the windows allow plenty of light to flood the room.

‘The old stone flagged floor has been restored and re-laid, adding to the rustic atmosphere.’

It’s easy to see the appeal of the property, with stone stairs leading to a spacious living room – which houses a large dining table at one end and comfy seating at the other.

The wood-beamed ceiling and floor tiles are light and atmospheric, and the room has a relaxed, country atmosphere.

Two double bedrooms are upstairs, accessed by an outside staircase onto a traditional ‘bodzo’ – a kind of open terrace.

A hallway with a mezzanine level for extra accommodation opens into the bedrooms – each of which has a sea view.

The bathroom boasts a large, custom-built circular bathtub and colourful tiles.

The home’s blue windows and doors inject a real Greek atmosphere.

In terms of the local area, the village of Kokkini is a short drive inland from the popular area of Agios Stefanos.

The property is also located near to the well-known seaside town of Kassiopi.

Proceeds from the sale of the property will be split equally and donated to the charities, Comic Relief and BBC Children in Need.
