Man takes on ‘unfinishable’ breakfast challenge at local café and people are amazed

A man decided to take on a huge breakfast challenge in a Greater Manchester cafe, and he was told that no one had ever managed to finish the plate of food – but he was determined to succeed

A man left fellow diners stunned after he managed to polish off a mammoth breakfast at a Droylsden, Greater Manchester, café. At Peggies Kitchen, you can tackle a breakfast challenge that would make even the most devoted food lovers wince; however, TikToker @JjDaLion was ready and willing to give it a go. JJ revealed that once the video was filmed, “six eggs were added onto the tray,” and it “made matters worse”.

A staff member informed him that 20 people had attempted the challenge thus far, and “everyone failed,” which was bound to leave him feeling rather anxious before his maiden effort. The dish featured 10 sausages, numerous bacon rashers, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans, black pudding, eight hash browns, and 16 slices of fried bread and toast.

“Taking on an undefeated breakfast challenge,” he captioned the clip.

“Who has come close? Has anyone come close?” JJ enquired, questioning whether he had any hope of conquering the enormous pile of breakfast grub.

The employee told him that a few people have got near, but remarked: “There’s no prizes for second place, is there”?

This likely motivated JJ as he agreed, “no, there’s not”, before asking how much time he had to demolish the lot.

He was informed that he’d get 30 minutes to get everything down him, prompting him to exclaim: “Is that it?!”.

It was confirmed he’d have merely 30 minutes to consume everything, but not only that, he also had to wash it all down with a pot of tea… blimey. “Oh my goodness,” JJ said in disbelief, but he was then told that he’d be given £100 if he was able to finish it all.

JJ joked that it was “good motivation” for him to take on the challenge. The staff member also joked that if he managed to finish it, he could have “any dessert for free”.

In a separate video, JJ could be seen impressively completing the whole challenge in 13 minutes and 56 seconds, which is seriously impressive, as it’s far less than the originally allocated time.

In that time, he also drank the tea, which he was unsure about at first – but he guzzled it down.

A piece of cake was then placed in front of him as a gift, and he ate the whole thing as well. Seriously impressive.

Staff at Peggies joked that they’d be able to come up with a new challenge now that one had finally been completed by somebody.

In the comments, someone wrote: “How though?! That’s an insane challenge, well done”.

“Your poor stomach, hell no,” another penned.

Some marvelled at the fact that he managed to eat the whole plate of breakfast, but still ate the cake. “There’s always room for dessert,” JJ joked.
