The mini Babybel has remained a go-to snack for cheese lovers since launching in the 1970s, and now fans have been left delighted after spotted a brand new flavour with a twist in supermarkets

Babybel has launched a new flavour, and it’s safe to say it’s got fans buzzing. It comes just in time for the release of Stranger Things 5, and it seems Babybel is keen to get viewers in the mood with their latest offering. The bold new snack, dubbed Mini Babybel Hellfire, is unlike other Babybel flavours. The flavour is available exclusively at Morrisons and Sainsbury’s, retailing in packs of six for £2.25 each.

The packaging is impossible to overlook, featuring a vibrant orange design adorned with images of a devil and flames.

This fiery treat is entirely plant-based, crafted from coconut oil and modified potato starch, along with a spicy mix of red bell pepper, red jalapeños, and cayenne.

Sainsbury’s website provides a tantalising description of the product: “This fiery-hot plant-based snack packs an intense, bold flavour. Perfectly portioned and irresistibly delicious, it’s a must-try for spice lovers and adventurous snackers. Dare to take a bite and unleash the heat-are you brave enough to #FeelTheHellfire?”

A post on the popular food page New Food UK announced: “New Stranger Things Fiery Hot Babybel cheese spotted at Morrisons.”

The news sparked a flurry of excited comments. One eager fan declared: “I’m off on the hunt.”

Another speculated, “These might slap,” tagging a friend in their comment.

Another chimed in with, “Right up your street,” tagging a mate. “I bet these are nice,” one person insisted, while another added: “Must try these.”

“Can’t wait to try,” chimed in a third. One satisfied customer who had already sampled the treat enthused: “These are the best Babybels ever.”

However, not everyone was convinced. “Not sure about these,” one sceptic admitted.

Another was more forthright, stating: “I love spicy cheese and Babybels but unfortunately these were rank.

“Weird texture and plastic fake taste.”

“I tried these and wasn’t a fan,” another reviewer candidly confessed.

In other supermarket news, Morrisons selling hot ‘jam’ and ‘custard’ drinks and shoppers are loving them. In supermarket recruitment, Sainsbury’s has launched a Christmas hiring spree – with 19,000 temporary jobs on offer.
