Coffee enthusiasts are all echoing the same sentiment after Costa Coffee have unveiled seasonal drinks for autumn and winter in supermarkets. Despite it being only August, a number of brands are already preparing for the changing of the seasons with autumn now on the horizon. Although, we are currently in the midst of peak iced coffee weather, countless customers are eagerly anticipating their first pumpkin spiced latte of the year.

Starbucks are launching their beloved Pumpkin Spiced Latte in chains from August 26 – four days later than its seasonal drop last year. Plus the coffee giant has their cult classic favourite, Pumpkin Spiced Latte, in sachet form ahead of time in Sainsbury’s around the UK.

Festive drinks for Christmas are expected to hit coffee chains from early November. However Costa has jumped ahead this year – launching autumn and Christmas-themed drinks already.

Fans can get their hands on Maple Hazel Latte sachets as well as Gingerbread Latte sachets in Tesco stores around the UK now. These drinks are part of the Barista Creations collection. These Maple Hazel drinks are limited edition.

Describing the Maple Hazel drink, Costa says: “Wrap up and grab a mug from your kitchen, for a barista-style latte as warming and silky as your favourite blanket.”

While the Mapel Hazel drinks retail for £2.55 and come with five sachets, the spiced ginger alternative is even more affordable.

In a box of the Gingerbread Latte drinks, you will get six sachets for £2.55. This is equivalent to around 42p per coffee – so it really is a bargain compared to visiting a cafe in person.

Costa said: “An Indulgent and silky smooth latte, with a festive gingerbread flavour and topped with a fine foam. This is coffee at home, for people that love coffee, made a little better.”

A post shared on Instagram and Facebook by New Foods UK, showing a picture of the products, reads: “Costa Maple Hazel Latte & Gingerbread Latte sachets are back at @tesco.”

One fan gushed: “Need to try.” Meanwhile, another said: “Love the sound of these.”

A third wrote: “The gingerbread looks lovely.” And a fourth added: “Omg this Maple Hazel sounds amazing! I want to try.”

Judging by early taste tests, the drinks are bound to go down a treat. One who has already rushed out to get the product said: “The gingerbread is amazing.”

In other coffee news, hot drink fans have been warned to never do one particular thing after finishing their beverage, as it could trigger numerous problems long-term.

Plus, gardeners have a top tip to help control and repel pests in the garden before they can cause too much damage – by using instant coffee.
