Marks and Spencer’s cafes have become the latest obsession for matcha lovers, with one drink in particular getting fans rushing to their nearest M&S café.

The British love affair with tea and coffee is well known, but many are now swapping their hot beverages for cool matchas. Despite containing some caffeine, matcha has less than black tea or coffee, making it a healthier alternative. It’s also packed with antioxidants, supports heart health and can aid weight management.

However, due to its earthy flavours, it’s often recommended to pair matcha with a syrup or alternative milk to enhance the taste. M&S cafes nationwide offer three matcha options – an original Matcha Latte and a Vanilla Matcha Latte, both priced at £4, and the viral Raspberry and White Chocolate Matcha Latte.

The Iced Raspberry and White Chocolate Matcha Latte has been hailed as worth the hype” by shoppers who are urging others to try it out. This sweet and creamy matcha concoction, infused with hints of raspberry and white chocolate, is priced at £4.25. Fans simply can’t get enough of it.

On TikTok, M&S Ealing Broadway revealed how the drink is concocted. “This is your sign to try the M&S raspberry and white chocolate matcha,” M&S announced.

The café staff begin by pouring raspberry syrup into an iced coffee cup, followed by ice, a few squirts of white chocolate syrup, milk of your choice, and naturally, a shot of matcha.

“Can confirm this is 100% worth the hype,” one person commented. Another concurred, stating: “Had a matcha and M&S this week and it was stunning first time and it was glorious. “Can confirm this combo slaps,” another added.

While someone else said: “Now this I feel like we could enjoy,” as they tagged a mate. “You need to try this,” another insisted. One other, who sampled the beverage, shared: “I literally got this today because it’s my birthday, it was so good.

One individual mentioned that it has been so popular in their local M&S that it has been out of stock recently. They stated: “Would be ideal if my branch hadn’t ran out of white chocolate syrup for the last week.”

And another noted: “It’s so good but literally lasts for five sips because it’s 70% ice.”
