A missing teenager who disappeared after he left home for school has been found.

Krishank Karthik, 16, also known as Krish, left his Truganina home in Melbourne‘s west on Monday at around 7.45am headed towards Suzanne Cory High School.

But the Year 11 student didn’t make it to school and it later turned out that he hadn’t been there in the last two weeks.

His family desperately pleaded for help prompting a massive search with authorities revealing the 16-year-old boy was last spotted interstate in NSW.

NSW Police revealed on Sunday morning that the teenager had been found in Penrith, western Sydney, at 1am.

He has since been reunited with his family who travelled to NSW.
