Maya Jama has become one of the nation’s most famous faces since landing one of the biggest gigs on TV as host of Love Island.

The presenter, 30, has since gone on to bag other high profile jobs including hosting The BRITs, Comic Relief, as well as becoming the face of Dolce & Gabanna and gracing the cover of Vogue.

But after January’s spin-off Love Island: All Stars’ received it’s lowest ever ratings for a final it is unclear if she will return next year, after recently crowning main show winners Mimii Ngulube and Josh Oyinsan.

PR expert Nick Ede told MailOnline: ‘Maya may have just come off the latest season of Love Island and split with her own love interest Stormzy but she is still one of the UKs biggest and brightest stars’.

Amid reports the couple split due to Maya prioritising work, where could her incredible career lead her next?

Will Maya Jama return to Love Island?

Love Island, which first launched in 2015, saw All Stars receive it’s lowest ever ratings when just one million viewers tuning in live to watch Molly Smith and Tom Clare crowned champions.

Including viewing figures from streaming platform ITVX, 1.3 million fans watched the final, in line with last year’s final of the winter series.

Suggesting that the show’s peak popularity is now over with incredible low in comparison to those of series four and five when over three and a half million fans tuned in.

However the latest series did see a rise with viewership up 24% on 2023’s summer season.

Nick believes Maya draws in viewers despite the show being ‘a bit tired’ saying: ‘She has such a great appeal as she was names in Forbes 30 under 30 as one to watch’.

‘I think we will see her doing more brand deals and she’s been signed up to host next years Love Island so she wont be going anywhere fast’.

‘The show maybe getting a bit tired and ratings up and down but she’s definitely riding high and now shes single shell be the hottest women in town’.

Will Maya Jama move to Netflix?

However in demand Maya reportedly sent her ITV bosses ‘reeling’ back in May after she shared a cryptic snap to Instagram.

The TV personality posted a picture of her drink in a Netflix cup, suggesting that perhaps like fellow stars Amanda Holden and Holly Willoughby she would be joining the streaming giant.

A source told The Sun the cryptic snap was ‘enough’ to send ITV bosses ‘reeling’ saying: ‘She’s a piping-hot commodity and is justified in feeling proud of meeting with Netflix, but the message it sent was crystal clear — Maya is open to offers,’

Before adding: ‘The fact is ITV probably need her more than she needs them, and she knows it,’

Representatives for Maya and ITV had no comment when contacted by MailOnline.
