British actor Callum Turner is reportedly the latest name to be thrown into the mix for the next James Bond. The star is thought to be a serious candidate for the role of 007 following a series of revealing signals during a recent press conference.

faced questions about James Bond speculation during a press conference.

Body language expert Darren Stanton has analysed his behaviour after Turner faced questions about James Bond speculation during a recent press conference. Whilst publicising his new film Rosebush Pruning, the 36-year-old was pressed by a journalist about speculation linking him to becoming the next Bond. Turner has been touted in earlier reports as a successor to Daniel Craig, who last portrayed the iconic spy in the 2021 film, No Time To Die. Working on behalf of Betfair Casino, Darren examined his body language in response to the questioning and identified three crucial indicators which could hint that Callum might be in contention to don the legendary tuxedo.

The body language expert said: “Callum is swinging his chair from side to side – that’s a big indicator that he’s being put under the spotlight and he’s feeling under pressure. He’s trying to keep cool and calm. He looks like he’s excited to say something, but he can’t.

“Secondly, he’s pressing his lips together and the corners of his mouth goes inward. It’s like stopping himself saying something.

“The third indicator is his jaw tightening. You can see that his jaw bone goes stiff. That’s again trying to suppress an emotion. Overall, there’s a strong possibility that he could be the next James Bond.

“His co-star [Tracy Letts] then diffuses it by saying ‘No, I am going to be the next Bond.’ That relieves the pressure. Callum is not very animated and instead focused on not giving the game away – like he’s really wanting to spill the beans.”

Coral’s John Hill said: “The release of Wuthering Heights has prompted a huge gamble on Jacob Elordi becoming the next James Bond. His odds have been slashed in half, and he is now the second favourite for the role behind Callum Turner.”
