From 1 to 3 November 2026, London will host the “Alatau City Roadshow”, an event designed to attract international investment, foster strategic partnerships and promote investment projects in Kazakhstan’s new city, Alatau City.
The Kazakh delegation will be led by Kanat Bozumbayev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It will include representatives of government bodies, the Alatau City Development Council, the Alatau City Authority, financial institutions and the business community.
The centrepiece of the programme will be the “Alatau City Investment Roundtable in London”, taking place on 2 November. It will bring together representatives of the British business community, international financial organisations, investment funds and the expert community.
The event will showcase Alatau City’s development concept, investment opportunities, plans for modern infrastructure and the details of a special legal regime designed to create a favourable environment for investors. A dedicated panel session will focus on the legal mechanisms for attracting institutional capital, with discussions covering the application of English common law principles, public-private partnerships, the regulation of digital assets, investment protection and dispute resolution mechanisms.
The business programme includes scheduled meetings with UK government officials responsible for economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and the UK, as well as representatives of the London Stock Exchange, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), UK Export Finance, Brookfield Asset Management, J.P. Morgan, Société Générale, Standard Chartered and Citi.
Additional talks are planned with representatives of British government agencies, educational institutions and potential strategic partners. Key topics will include attracting infrastructure investment, developing financial instruments, education and international cooperation.
The investment roundtable will conclude with a ceremony at which the Alatau City Authority and its partners will exchange signed documents.
The London roadshow will mark the next stage in the international promotion of Alatau City as a new hub for investment, innovation and sustainable urban development in Kazakhstan.
