The new McDonald’s menu in collaboration with Friends has officially landed in stores and to mark the occasion, Mirror writer Cally Brooks put all the new items to the test to see which came out on top
McDonald’s has rolled out a brand-new limited-time menu – complete with a pop-culture collaboration and collectible figures. So I decided to put every new item to the test to see if it’s worth the online hype.
From spicy wraps to dessert-heavy McFlurrys and a much-hyped latte, it promised big flavours and plenty of novelty. But while some items were genuinely impressive, one drink left me seriously underwhelmed – and not for the reason you might expect.
The latest promotion ties into a Friends-themed collectible figure offer, available with selected meals, alongside several new and returning menu items. Additions include the Chicken Tikka Wrap, Pizza Mozzarella Dippers, Milkybar Crispy Cookie McFlurry, Munchies Vanilla Cheesecake McFlurry, and the new Donut Crumble Latte. Here’s how everything stacked up.

Pizza Mozzarella Dippers
These sounded more exciting than they tasted. The Pizza Mozzarella Dippers were fine – crispy outside, soft inside – but didn’t deliver the bold pizza-style punch the name suggests.
They felt a bit muted flavour-wise. However, the accompanying Marinara-style dip (branded in the promotion as Monica’s Marinara Sauce) was genuinely delicious and actually stole the show. Without that, the dippers would have been very forgettable.
Chicken Tikka Wrap
The Chicken Tikka Wrap is a solid option if you want something lighter than a burger. The chicken had a nice crunch and the sauce added a creamy tikka flavour, but overall it didn’t feel particularly memorable. It’s the sort of menu item you’d happily eat again – but probably wouldn’t go out of your way for.
I felt like the tikka flavour could have been incorporated into the chicken, rather than just the sauce. It wasn’t spicy at all, which might be a plus for some but a drawback for others.
McFlurrys
Both new McFlurrys were the stars of the menu. The Milkybar Crispy Cookie McFlurry was sweet, crunchy and creamy, with plenty of mix-ins throughout rather than just sitting on top.
The white chocolate flavour comes through strongly, making it ideal for anyone with a sweet tooth. The Munchies Vanilla Cheesecake McFlurry was equally impressive – rich, textured and indulgent without being overwhelming.
The combination of chocolate pieces and cheesecake-style sauce worked brilliantly. If you’re only trying one new item, make it one of these.
Donut Crumble Latte
The biggest disappointment of the test was the Donut Crumble Latte – but possibly due to an ordering or preparation mix-up rather than the recipe itself.
Based on the description, I expected something noticeably sweeter and more dessert-like. Instead, what I received tasted like a standard latte, with no obvious donut flavour or crumble notes. It was perfectly drinkable – just not what it claimed to be. After checking with the store, it turns out it was in fact a regular latte so a mix-up when ordering as the Donut latte is not available via delivery.
Overall verdict
This menu is a mixed bag, but with some real highlights. The McFlurrys are excellent and worth the trip alone, the wrap is decent, and the dippers need their sauce to shine. The themed collectibles add some fun for Friends fans, but in pure food terms, dessert is where this launch really succeeds.
Just maybe skip the donut latte, or double-check your order before you walk away.
