An alleged serial sex offender has been charged with murdering a second woman while out on police bail.
Simon Levy has now been charged with carrying out attacks on a total of 13 woman, including two murders, the rape and strangulation of a third woman and ten sexual assaults on the London underground and in prison.
But police believe that the alleged predator may have targeted many other victims after he was repeatedly released on bail by British Transport Police, Scotland Yard and magistrates during various investigations.
In an unprecedented move ahead of trial, Scotland Yard are today making an appeal to women and girls to come forward if they have evidence of other crimes linked to Levy.
It comes after the 40-year-old partially sighted defendant was charged with the murder of Carmenza Trujillo, aged 53, who was found dead in a building on the Aylesbury Estate in Southwark on March 17 this year.
At the time of the murder, Levy was on police bail after being arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting two women on the Tube in October 2024.
In total, Levy has now been charged with two murders, two counts of rape, a non-fatal strangulation, grievous bodily harm and sexually assaulting ten women.
In a shocking case which will inevitably raise questions for the authorities, the defendant is first believed to have committed a sex attack on a female prison officer in HMP Brixton in April 2022.
A year later he allegedly molested a woman on the London Underground in October 2023.

The defendant, who has not entered pleas to any of the charges, was then arrested in November 2024 on suspicion of carrying out two other sex attacks at tube stations in October 2024.
After he was released on bail, he allegedly went on to strangle and rape a prostitute on January 21 this year.
A pre-trial hearing at the Old Bailey was told that Levy allegedly refused to pay the sex worker, knocking her to the floor and jumping on top of her breaking her collarbone.
He is accused of raping her while placing his hands over the woman’s face, suffocating her until she lost consciousness, but she survived the attack .
Three months Levy was arrested on April 1 over Ms Trujillo’s death, but he was released yet again while officers investigated.
While Levy was on bail, he is accused of carrying out five sexual assaults of women at various London underground stations between March and May 2025.
Some of the alleged assaults were carried out within days of each other.
On May 3 this year, Levy was charged with carrying out three sexual assaults at tube stations, but he was released on bail by a judge who ordered him not to travel on public transport.

While on bail, Levy is accused of carrying out a further sex attack at Westminster station on May 29.
The following month he was charged with breaching his bail conditions after being caught by a police officer on the London Underground on June 20.
Yet a judge decided to release the suspect again.
Weeks later, Levy is accused of murdering a second woman on August 28 this year.
Sheryl Wilkins, 39, was found dead on August 24 by police patrolling a car park in Tottenham, North London.
During an earlier hearing, the Old Bailey was told that the sex worker was found face down, with her head and body covered by a jacket.
Although police found bruising and scratches, post-mortem examinations have been unable to determine the cause of death, with one possibility that the sex worker may have been drowned.
Levy was arrested on September 4 and finally remanded in custody after being charged with a raft of offences including Ms Wilkins’ murder.
Commander Clair Kelland, who leads the Met’s Public Protection Team, said: ‘As the lead for public protection at the Met, one of our main priorities is to better protect women and girls.
‘The investigation into Simon Levy is one of great complexity. We are working closely with partners across relevant boroughs, including Haringey and Southwark, to encourage reporting and raise awareness of the support we can provide to victim-survivors.
‘Whether you are a victim-survivor, or someone with information, we urge you to come forward and speak to us.’
Levy will now face trial on charges of murder, strangulation, grievous bodily harm with intent and two counts of rape in June next year.
He will face a separate trial on January 26 accused of nine sexual assaults on London Underground and the sexual touching of a prison officer in 2022.
Jaswant Narwal of the Crown Prosecution Service said: ‘Following an investigation by the Metropolitan Police Service, the Crown Prosecution Service has made the decision to prosecute Simon Levy for the murder of Carmenza Valencia-Trujillo, a 54-year-old-woman from Colombia.
‘Simon Levy will appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 25 November 2025. We remind all concerned that proceedings against the defendant are active and he has a right to a fair trial.’
