Parents have taken to TikTok to share their amazement at a quirky travel gadget that creates a first-class style plane experience for toddlers.

The JetKids by Stokke BedBox is a ride-on wheeled kids suitcase that incredibly converts an economy plane seat into a bed for children.

Described as a ‘cosy inflight bed’, the suitcase’s ‘extendable lid’ can fold out into a bed with a mattress that can be used ‘once the seat belt light goes off’.

Stokke explains: ‘In five simple steps, a standard economy seat is turned into a first class seat for children. Transform your family travels with this premium ride-on suitcase.’

The suitcase comes with stickers which children can use to decorate it themselves.

It also has an adjustable strap that can be used to carry or pull the Bedbox through the airport.

In a  video posted on TikTok by Jess Darrington @where.is.briggs, the mother shows her child pulling the suitcase through the airport by himself.

She says: ‘He loves pulling it himself. He loved decorating it with the included stickers!’

The mother adds that the suitcase has ‘decent size storage inside’ and has ‘additional storage in the lid’.

Once on the plane, she sets up the bed feature for the child and explains that ‘it was comfortable and my toddler really enjoyed using it on the flight’. She adds that the suitcase fits ‘underneath the seat in front easily’.

In another TikTok video posted by Tina Yong @tina.yong, the mother says ‘flying with a toddler used to be stressful’ but that the pull-along suitcase has ‘changed everything’.

Tina films herself pulling her daughter along in the airport as the toddler sits on the suitcase.

She explains: ‘My little girl loves it, she can pack her books, toys and travel essentials inside. It turns walking through the airport into her own little adventure.’

On the plane, Tina shows her daughter using the suitcase in its bed-like form and watching a movie with headphones on.

She adds: ‘Now with her entertained, I can get a little peace and quiet to myself.’

Stokke explains that the product is suitable for children aged between three to seven years.

Travellers should check their airline’s rules before bringing the case, as carriers can have varying rules on extendable seats.

Stokke says that the plane’s seat belt can still be used whether the child is ‘lying down or sitting upright’ in the seat.

Jess Darrington explains in the caption of her video that the suitcase ‘can fit in the overhead bin or underneath the seat if you won’t be using the bed function’.

The product is available on stokke.com for £179 and comes in four different colours, including light blue and pale green.
