Nintendo Switch 2 games – Major yearly release almost guaranteed for Switch 2 | Gaming | Entertainment

Take-Two Interactive has given its verdict on the Nintendo Switch 2.

During Take-Two’s latest earnings call, CEO Strauss Zelnick discussed the Switch 2 and whether the company plans to support the device.

According to Zelnick, Take-Two would “fully expect to support” the new Nintendo console when it launches this summer.

Judging by past Take-Two releases on Nintendo platforms, this means we’re almost certain to get NBA 2K26 on Nintendo Switch 2 later this year, and maybe even Borderlands 4.

Speaking to investors about the Switch 2, Zelnick said: “Look, we’ve had obviously a long-standing relationship with Nintendo. And we’ve supported the platform when it made sense for the individual release.

“There was a time when Nintendo platforms are really geared at younger audiences, and that was reflected in our release schedule.

And that – now today with Switch and potentially with Switch 2, the Switch device can support any audience.

“So, while we have nothing specific to report, we actually would fully expect to support Switch.”

With the increased power of the Switch 2, this means we may even get Take-Two games that would previously only release on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. Perhaps even something like Borderlands 4.

More realistically, however, we can fully expect to see NBA 2K26 on the Switch 2, and hopefully a version that’s more in line with the PS5 and Xbox Series X editions.

Fans should find out more about the Switch 2 launch line-up and the 2025 release schedule when Nintendo holds a Direct conference on April 2.

It was recently revealed that the April 2 Direct will take place at 6am PT for US viewers, which is 2pm GMT UK time.

Nintendo will use the Direct to announce the price of the console and the launch line-up, although some of these details may have already leaked.

Multiple analysts have suggested that the Switch 2 will cost $399, which is more expensive than the original Switch but cheaper than the PS5 and Xbox Series X.

As for the games, a Legend of Zelda remaster is tipped for day-one, alongside third-party games like No Man’s Sky, Halo: Master Chief Collection and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
