Baku, Azerbaijan – 25 July 2024 – Today marks a significant milestone for the global food industry as Al-Baladi Holding, a pioneer in Qatari business, in partnership with Green Capital Management, announced a strategic $50 million investment to launch the celebrated Qatari brands Go Crispy and Tea Time internationally. This initiative aims to open over 400 new outlets across 27 countries, starting with a dynamic launch in Azerbaijan.

The collaboration between Al-Baladi Holding and Green Capital Management is designed to introduce the rich flavors of Qatari cuisine to a global audience, beginning with the culturally rich market of Azerbaijan. “Our joint venture is a proactive step towards bringing our unique culinary traditions to the international stage,” said Mr. Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al-Attiyah, Chairman of Al-Baladi Holding.

Mr. Adnan Ahmed Zadeh, Chairman and Shareholder of Green Capital Management, emphasised the strategic nature of the investment. “We are deploying substantial resources to ensure that Go Crispy and Tea Time become synonymous with quality dining worldwide,” he stated.

The expansion is expected to significantly influence local economies by creating thousands of jobs and enhancing the food and retail sectors. Mr. Hani Al Sayyadi, CEO of Al-Baladi Holding, highlighted the economic benefits: “We anticipate a substantial boost to economic activity in each new market, complemented by our commitment to community engagement and development.”

Go Crispy and Tea Time will adapt their menus to cater to local tastes in each new market, ensuring that the global expansion respects cultural preferences while maintaining the brands’ identity. “Our strategy includes thorough market research and local taste adaptation to ensure our offerings resonate with new audiences,” Mr. Hany Al Sayyadi added.

The expansion plan includes a strong focus on sustainability and social responsibility. Both brands aim to implement eco-friendly practices and engage with local communities to ensure a positive impact. “Our growth strategy is intertwined with our commitment to sustainability. We aim to set new standards in how food businesses can positively impact their environments,” said Mr. Zadeh.
