Bob Dylan announces new UK tour – but one major activity has been banned | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Legendary singer-songwriter Bob Dylan has already played more than 130 shows in the USA as part of his Rough and Rowdy Ways World Tour. However, Britain is about to get a larger share of the action as ten new shows have been announced.

These include a three-night extravaganza at London’s epic Royal Albert Hall, as well as additional dates in Nottingham, Wolverhampton, Liverpool and Bournemouth. Elsewhere in the UK, Edinburgh will play host to the singer for two nights running too.

The events, which take place in November 2024, will be extra special as mobile phones and cameras will be completely banned. The decision means that, instead of checking out footage of the gigs on Instagram or YouTube, the only way to witness the performances will be to attend in person.

Despite racking up a huge number of tour dates recently, it’s been 15 years since he was last in Edinburgh, so his stint at the city’s Usher Hall venue on November 5 and 6, is sure to go down a storm.

He’ll also head to the newly refurbished Civic Hall in Wolverhampton, which has played host to the likes of Bob Marley, The Who and David Bowie in its time, on November 9 and 10. Before that, he’ll headline the BIC Windsor Hall in Bournemouth, a venue with which he is already familiar from past tours, on November 1.

Other shows will take place at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool on November 3 and at Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena on November 8.

Finally, his eagerly awaited three nights in London take place between November 12 and 14.

Bob has a special reason for celebrating, as he will have just released a huge 27-CD album.

The 1974 Live Recordings will be released on September 20, with a massive 431 tracks to enjoy – and almost all of them are previously unreleased.

Elements of his 1974 tour had previously been captured on earlier album Before The Flood, but the new recordings will provide plenty that listeners have never heard before.

Bob has also been busy recently kicking off the Outlaw Music Festival Tour with an action-packed set featuring 50s blues and country covers.

His setlists are often totally unpredictable, so there’s no way to know for sure what’s in store in November without showing up.
