PlayStation Plus subscribers are just days away from finding out the Essentials line-up for April 2026. The free PS5 games will be officially announced at 4.30pm BST UK time on the afternoon of April 1. The games will be available to download and play less than a week later, on the morning of April 7. However, while the games won’t officially be announced until April 1, two of the games appear to have leaked ahead of schedule.

Last week it was revealed that dark-fantasy Soulslike Lords of the Fallen will join the line-up on April 7.

A second game also appears to have leaked ahead of the big reveal, although not all fans are happy.

According to trusted leaker billbil-kun on DealsLab, Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream is the second game to join PS Plus in April 2026.

The multiplayer action game is based on the popular Japanese series of the same name.

The game features 21 characters from the Sword Art Online series, each with their own unique roles and abilities. It features a single-player campaign with an original story, as well as co-op multiplayer, boss raid mode, and Free Roam.

While it’s popular with fans of the series, PS Plus subscribers aren’t best pleased about the addition of the game.

One PS Plus subscriber describes it as another mediocre month for the service, while another argues that it keeps getting worse.

The game also has a Mixed rating on Steam, where fans criticise the grinding and repetitive gameplay.

Lords of the Fallen is certainly the better game, earning Mostly Positive reviews on Steam.

The game features an interesting dual-world mechanic where players enter a parallel world to overcome obstacles.

It also features the same challenging enemy encounters and tough boss battles you would expect from a Soulslike.

At least one more game will be announced for PS Plus in April, although there’s a good chance it will leak early, so keep checking back for more information.
