Inside Epstein’s secret locker: Sex-slave ‘training manuals’, naked photos of women and dozens of porn mags among hoard of evidence discovered in storage

A secret locker rented by the late child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein was used to store sex-slave manuals, naked photographs of women and dozens of pornographic magazines.

A report in the Telegraph recently revealed that the paedophile rented at least six units across the US, the majority of which were in Florida, paying thousands between 2003 and 2019 to store various items from his property empire.

At one point, the disgraced financier allegedly recruited private detectives to remove belongings from his Florida property, in an apparent attempt to conceal them from investigators before a police raid in 2005.

Such items were stored at a nearby facility in Palm Beach for several years while authorities investigated the American millionaire.

Now, the newspaper has obtained an inventory of the covert Palm Beach unit, containing an array of disturbing items including nude pictures, understood to be of Epstein’s victims, as well as VHS tapes and DVDs sexualising teenagers.

The lock-up, rented on Epstein’s behalf by the Riley Kiraly detective agency, also stashed three computers, 29 address books, and a three-page list of masseuses in Florida.

The inventory listed other items including an 8mm video cassette tape, apparently containing footage of a woman in lingerie and someone in the shower, as well as laboratory results, letters, and a 2005 calendar.

While copies of two of the computer hard drives were later obtained by the FBI, it has not been established whether any of the material in the facility was ever found.

It has been the longstanding suspicion of US authorities that the serial sex offender was forewarned about a police raid on his Palm Beach property in October 2005 – marking the first major search of any of his residences.

Former Palm Beach Police Chief Michael Reiter told NBC that during a 2005 search, the paedophile’s mansion ‘had been cleaned up’.

When authorities entered the property, certain computer material appeared to be missing, including equipment that would have linked to surveillance cameras.

The conspicuous absence of such equipment led to theories that the financier may have recorded graphic, covert footage without people’s consent, for the purposes of blackmail or his own sexual gratification.

During that period, Epstein was part of a high-flying Florida social set that included prominent figures like Donald Trump.

The storage facility inventory included objects that detectives recovered receipts for when they searched his home, but that they could not locate in his property – including two training manuals for sex slaves.

The paedophile also paid private detectives to conceal sex toys, over $2,000 (£1,500) in cash, body massagers, women’s lingerie, a concealed weapon permit, and a Harvard ID card.

In August 2009, the inventory was emailed to Epstein and his lawyers, a month after he was released from Palm Beach County Jail for soliciting prostitution from a minor.

On January 30, the US Department of Justice (DOJ) published a tranche of over three million files related to the late child sex offender.

In one of the newly-released documents, Bill Riley – one half of the Riley Kiraly private detective agency – discussed the storage unit in an email to Epstein’s former legal representative, Robert Critton.

‘Over the weekend I learned that plaintiff’s counsel are looking to get from me the computers and paperwork I took from Jeff’s house prior to the Search Warrant,’ the email said.

‘I have them locked in storage and would like to know what to do with them.

‘They are no longer needed in the criminal case, I assume.

‘Is it possible to give you these items for your review and safekeeping or give it to Darren Indyke or back to Jeff, etc.?

‘I have attached my inventory and some of the photos of the items I have.

‘Roy Black directed that the computers drives be cloned and he would have the results of that effort.

‘The cloning was done by a forensic specialist, Dave Kleiman.

‘Let me know ASAP.’

The email mentioned Roy Black, one of Epstein’s attorneys.

Months before the email, multiple victims of the financier had filed a civil lawsuit against him, as lawyers representing them raised concerns he was hiding important evidence in storage facilities.

Victims had also obtained a court order from a Florida judge, calling on Epstein and his employees not to destroy any evidence, including items stored in covert lock-ups.

In a deposition in April 2010, lawyers questioned Epstein about whether he had smuggled computers out of his property prior to the 2005 raid.

‘Where are those computers today?’ the lawyer asked, suggesting they contained the ‘names and telephone numbers of hundreds of underage minor females that you sexually molested’.

In a separate deposition from March 2010, one member of Epstein’s staff was asked whether ‘those computers reveal criminal activity of only Jeffrey Epstein or of others?’

French police recently released new images from the late financier’s Paris property, showing a masseuse table, massage devices and photographs of naked women as decorations.

The luxurious, 18-room apartment on Avenue Foch, overlooking the Arc de Triomphe, is the same residence where the former Washington ambassador Peter Mandelson was photographed standing in his underpants.

At least three women have alleged they were abused at the hands of Epstein in France, and investigators hope other survivors may now come forward.

While copies of the hard drives stored in Epstein’s Palm Beach locker were found in Epstein’s New York mansion after his arrest in 2019, the original computers are understood never to have been found.

Other emails released by the DOJ show Epstein repeatedly ordered his staff and private investigators to shred tapes and wipe computers in the lead up to his arrest.

In May 2014, an individual called William Murphy discussed with Richard Kahn, the financier’s accountant, and Merwin Dela Cruz, his New York housekeeper, intentions to destroy computer equipment contained in a server room at the paedophile’s Manhattan property.

‘We’re getting there. We removed the four old IBM servers that were at the top of the rack and wiped two routers and a switch,’ the email said.

‘All the hard drives have had holes drilled in them which may have been the best part. We have the old backup tapes out tog the unit that wouldn’t power on as well. I’m going to reach out to data destruction companies to shred the tapes.

‘I’ve seen trucks in midtown that roll up and destroy stuff. I’ll see if I can find one for the tapes. We probably have about two hours left to remove the remaining equipment and then that rack should be empty and ready to go..’

Many victims of Epstein have claimed they believe the financier had installed covert cameras throughout his property empire to record footage for his own sexual gratification, as well as for blackmail purposes.

In a message from February 5, 2014, Epstein asked his pilot Larry Visoski for ‘three motion detected hidden cameras that record’.

‘I already two purchased the Motion sensor camera from the Spy Store in fort Lauderdale yesterday,’ Visoski, who also worked as a technician for Epstein’s property empire, replied.

‘I charged them last night and figuring our how to work them as we speak, its amazing how small they are, the size of Thumb nail drive, 64 hour recording, Motion sensor. I’m installing them into Kleenex boxes now. I’ll bring them by later today.’

On the same day as the secret camera purchases, the sex offender received an email from someone else, whose name has been redacted, saying: ‘Remember what we spoke about if you want to put cameras in the house. It will have to be very discreetly done. The Russians may come in handy.’

The emails appear to contradict statements from the US authorities, with the FBI previously claiming there was no evidence the financier was storing compromising material.

An internal FBI memo published in the latest release of documents stated: ‘We are aware of the theories circulated in the media and online that Epstein video recorded the abuse of his victims, including by other men, but we have found no evidence to support that theory.

‘Indeed, had we found such videos, we certainly would have used them as evidence in the criminal cases we investigated and prosecuted, and would have pursued any leads they generated. We did not, however, locate any such videos.

‘The Palm Beach Police Department video-recorded interviews of victims at their police station, video-recorded parts of their search of Epstein’s Palm Beach residence, and seized a small number of videos from Epstein’s Palm Beach residence.

‘None of these videos depict the abuse of any victims or provide evidence suggesting anyone other than Epstein and [Ghislaine] Maxwell participated in the abuse of victims.’
