For those who are wanting to give their home a revamp for a budget price, then Dunelm may be the place to turn. The retail giant’s summer sale has seen items drop by as much as 50 per cent.

But shoppers will need to be quick as Dunelm’s discount event is entering its final week. From curtains and bedding to gardening and cooking appliances, there are plenty of home essentials in the major retailer’s sale that shoppers will want to get their hands on.

For example, one great addition to a room that can completely change the aesthetic of any space is a rug. For those who are a fan of the vintage style, Dunelm has reduced the price of the Esin Traditional Rug which is available in a variety of sizes and colours.

Normally priced between £35 and £229, shoppers can now snap it up for between £28 and £183.20. Said to look particularly good on wooden floors, reports Liverpool Echo, this rug is available in red, natural and cream.

The smallest rug available is 80cm by 154cm (£28), while the biggest is 240cm by 300cm (£183.20). It should be noted that the natural edition of the rug is only available in the largest size, while the rest of the rugs are available in red and cream apart from the £183.20 rug.

The artisanal Esin Rug boasts a variety of rich colours which are combined together in an “eye catching” geometric pattern. Dunelm says this design will “bring a warm homely feel to any living room or bedroom”.

Crafted with durability in mind, this rug is made of 100 per cent polypropylene, making it perfect for rooms where people are constantly moving around. In terms of care, it is recommended to either shake or vacuum the rug with a nozzle attachment to remove loose fibres, dirt or debris.

For those looking for a minimalistic design, Dunelm has swiped 50 per cent off this camel edition of the Supersoft Lush Geometric Faux Fur Arch Rug. Normally priced between £39 and £169, shoppers can now snap up the smallest rug (80cm by 150cm) for £19.50. Four other colours are available online, but they are not in the sale.

Alternatively, for shoppers looking for a unique rug, Debenhams has reduced the price of the Homescapes Natural & Black Mandala Braided Jute Rug. Now priced between £22.99 and £89.99 (RRP £41.99 and £163.99), this circular rug is said to be woven from the “finest, high quality natural jute” and will complement many decor styles.

Dunelm’s Esin Rug has been awarded an almost perfect rating of 4.9 stars by 271 reviewers, making it one of the most popular designs amongst shoppers. Many reviewers praised the piece for its vibrant colours and soft feel.

One happy shopper said: “We loved the colour and pattern of the rug. It was just what we had been looking for and is really good value for the price.”

With another five-star reviewer adding: “Beautiful rug. Colours are lovely, feels soft to touch and looks more expensive than it was.”

However, one shopper cautioned about the colour of the rug, writing: “This rug is excellent value and appears to be good quality. It has random areas of ‘faded’ colour which takes away any harshly brand new appearance which may not suit some.”

With another shopper also noting: “Good quality for the price and vibrant colours. It’s definitely worth purchasing the anti slip at the same time if this is to go on a hard surface. I ordered the wrong size but delivery/return all easy.”

The high praise of the rug continued, as one reviewer added: “We bought three of these rugs to finish off a guest bedroom. They gave a new level of style and comfort. Our first family member who stayed fell in love with the room. They particularly liked the rugs. We are delighted.”

A sixth customer also said: “I received a very fast alert that the rug had been restocked after setting up email notifications. It’s beautiful – very soft underfoot and excellent value. Exactly as pictured, and I couldn’t be more satisfied.”
