A new smart Smart toilets showcased at CES give ‘porcelain throne’ a new meaning.

Attendees of the Las Vegas event feasted their eyes on innovative loos designed by appliance maker Kholer, which feature voice activation, touch screens and high prices.

For $4,500, the Veil includes a range of services like pulsating spray options and automatic deodorizer, while Amazon’s Alexa powers the top-of-the-line Numi, which costs around $10,000.

The company did display a more affordable option – the $1,200 PureWash E930 bidet that connects to your home internet and features voice control.

The Veil appeared to be the star of the show with its range of features to treat your rear: adjustable spray pattern, water pressure, and position; a pulsating spray option; heated water; warm air drying; automatic deodorizer and UV sterilization; LED lighting; and a seat that opens and closes with a wave of your hand.

These features can be controlled by a touchscreen that mounts on the wall, but this toilet also has some automatic features.

As soon as you sit down, it starts pulling air from the bowl through a carbon filter to eliminate odors proactively.

And once you’re finished, you can choose a partial or complete flush.

The angles and the lid are the first things you notice about the $10,000 Numi 2.0. Struts hold the automatically opening toilet lid and can be activated by motion sensors

If you’re feeling like really going for a luxury bathroom experience, Kohler also has the Numi 2.0, which has been on display for a couple of years but drew many curious spectators at CES.

When you approach it, waving your foot under the edge will open the seat.

It has all the high-end features of the Veil and is Alexa-enabled so that you can command it with your voice.

An emergency power supply lets you flush up to 100 times if you lose electricity in your home.

A slick silver knob mounts on the wall and can be used to control the toilet’s features.

On the more affordable end, Kohler also released a bidet toilet seat at the electronics expo, the PureWash E930.

This bidet is meant to compete with some of the other add-on options, but it differentiates itself with plenty of electronic bells and whistles – or, rather, fans and heaters.

It fits onto any elongated toilet, which Kohler chose because it’s a standard design in the US.

The add-on bidet hooks up to your water and electrical supply, so it may require professional installation if you’re not so handy.

It connects to your home internet and features voice control, so if you’re in a rush, you can shout to Alexa to open the lid while heading to the toilet.

The bidet also has a UV light to kill bacteria, a heated seat, and an air dryer for when you’re finished.

The PureWash E930 may be the highest-tech device you could install in your bathroom. It retails for about $1,200

Like some newer cars’ driver seats, it allows you to set up individual user profiles. So if you like the seat warm but your spouse doesn’t, you can program these preferences and switch between two user profiles.

The programmable preferences also include front spray, rear spray, and water temperature

For a special treat, the massage setting will send pulses of water down there.

Or if there are children in the home, you can set it up with a smaller spray pattern so it doesn’t overspray and make a mess.

A replaceable pod contains a freshening spray that can cover up unpleasant odors.

All of these features can also be activated on the control panel that mounts to the wall nearby.
