Darts star Cameron Menzies was helped off stage after falling unwell during the World Matchplay Darts.
Menzies had been leading Ross Smith in his second round match when he appeared to sway and look faint on stage.
He was seen speaking to a tournament official and bent over, before being helped off by Smith.
‘We are having a break in our first match because Cameron Menzies is unwell,’ presenter Emma Paton told Sky Sports viewers.
‘All we know at the moment is that he is being seen to by St John’s Ambulance.
‘He is with some medics at the moment. Hopefully he is ok and feeling better very shortly.’
The PDC later confirmed that Menzies had been forced to withdraw through illness.
‘Cameron Menzies is unable to continue his Round Two clash after being taken unwell,’ a PDC statement read.
‘Ross Smith progresses to the Quarter-Finals as a result.
‘The next match between Gian van Veen and Wessel Nijman will start shortly.’
In an update to viewers, Paton confirmed Menzies was still being assessed.
‘We understand that Cameron Menzies is still being assessed, but he is conscious, he is sat up and he is now talking to his partner,’ Paton said.
Three-time BDO world champion Glen Durrant added: ‘I echo the thoughts of everybody; right now, it’s all about Cameron Menzies.
‘He’s in tip top form at the moment. It’s a real tough one to take.’
