Gospel icon CeCe Winans left Detroit’s Ford Field stunned with her emotional rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner on Thanksgiving.
Winans, 61, was given the honor of performing the national anthem ahead of the day’s early game between the Lions and Packers – and she certainly made the most of her opportunity.
She captivated the audience and left some clearly emotional, with fans taking to social media to share an overwhelmingly positive reaction to the song.
‘That’s the best national anthem performance of all-time,’ one wrote, while another added: ‘CeCe Winans just absolutely slayed the national anthem.’
A third noted: ‘Get this woman singing our national anthem at the Super Bowl, that was an incredible performance.’
