Follow Mail Sport’s live blog for the latest score and set-by-set updates as Amanda Anisimova and Iga Swiatek go head-to-head in the Wimbledon women’s singles final.

Anisimova *0-2 Swiatek

Swiatek drills a forehand long.

But Anisimova then produces her 14th double fault of the tournament. 15-15.

Anisimova *0-2 Swiatek

Anisimova looks very tight. She tries to outhit Swiatek but has not yet found her range.

The former world No 1 holds to 15 to consolidate her early break.

SWIATEK BREAKS! Anisimova 0-1* Swiatek

What a start by Swiatek as she breaks to 15 in the opening game.

No big reaction at the end of that game by either player though. There is a long way to go.

Anisimova *0-0 Swiatek

Anisimova loses the first point with a shanked backhand, before Swiatek makes it 0-30 by nailing a fierce forehand return.

Another poor shot by Anisimova into the net then brings up three break points straight away.

Time!

Amanda Anisimova to serve first. Here we go!

Eager Iga

Amanda Anisimova wins the toss and will serve first.

But it’s Iga Swiatek who looks the more fired up. She was already shadow-swinging aggressively as the coin hit the turf.

Here come the players…

Centre Court rises as Iga Swiatek and Amanda Anisimova step out into the sunshine for the 2025 Wimbledon ladies’ final.

Swiatek enters the area wearing headphones, while Anisimova is soaking up the atmosphere.

A first grass-court title awaits one of them. Swiatek is chasing her sixth Slam — Anisimova her first.

Let the battle begin… after the warm-up.

Nick Kyrgios praises Anisimova

Nick Kyrgios has been giving his take on today’s finalists during a TNT Sports watchalong.

On the subject of Iga Swiatek’s infamous towel-hoarding habit, he said: ‘I’m the opposite of Iga Swiatek. I’ve only grabbed one or two of them in my career. I wouldn’t be sweeping them up!’

He was more complimentary about Amanda Anisimova, calling her rise ‘just a matter of time’.

‘She was ranked 400th in the world and now makes her first Slam final. I’ve hit with her — she hits incredibly flat and has one of the best two-handed backhands in the women’s game.’

Navratilova’s advice

Nine-time Wimbledon champion Martina Navratilova has some sage advice for the finalists: stay in the moment.

Speaking on BBC Two, Navratilova says: ‘Every player dreams of winning here more than anywhere else.

‘But I would say play the ball, don’t play the Wimbledon final.’

Scorching Saturday at SW19

It’s a hot one in Wimbledon — 29°C and blazing sunshine as we approach the 4pm start.

With no cloud cover and only a light breeze, conditions could test the players’ endurance as much as their shot-making.

Hydration will be key out there.

Swiatek: ‘I never even dreamt this was possible’

I thought I’d experienced everything on court — but not this. Playing well on grass is new for me, and I feel confident. I’m just going for it.

Anisimova: ‘To be in this spot is indescribable’

I never thought I’d be in the final at Wimbledon. I’m just going to enjoy every moment and try to bring high-quality tennis.

Power vs Precision

Swiatek’s serve-forehand combo has been deadly this fortnight — she’s won 78% of her first-serve points and saved 82% of break points.

But Anisimova has already beaten World No 1 Aryna Sabalenka here — and brings the biggest firepower Swiatek has faced yet.

Who else is in the Royal Box?

Martina Navratilova, Billie Jean King, and Martina Hingis will all be in attendance, joined by Olympic heroes Sir Mo Farah and Adam Peaty, Hollywood actor Stanley Tucci, and CNN’s Christiane Amanpour.

.Also on the guest list: the US Ambassador, leaders from the LTA, Tennis Australia and USTA, and even directors Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach.

From the comeback queen… to the future queen

Amanda Anisimova’s remarkable rise has captivated tennis — and now she’s playing in front of royalty.

The Princess of Wales has arrived at Wimbledon, waving to fans as she makes her way towards the Royal Box.

Dressed head to toe in Wimbledon white, Kate Middleton is embracing tradition as she gets set to watch the ladies’ final.

Comeback queen

Two years ago, Amanda Anisimova walked away from tennis to protect her mental health.

Today, she walks onto Centre Court in a Wimbledon final.

From outside the world’s top 400 to a shot at the title — this is one of the great sporting turnarounds.

Swiatek’s shot at history

This is Iga Swiatek’s first Wimbledon final — and her shot at becoming the first Polish woman to win the title in the Open Era.

She’s 5-0 in Slam finals and is looking to win majors on clay, hard and grass — a feat no woman under 25 has achieved since Serena in 2002.

What’s at stake?

£3million, 2,000 ranking points, and a lifetime of bragging rights. That’s what the winner takes home.

Anisimova is already projected to make her Top 10 debut next week — and could rise to No 5 if she wins.

Swiatek, currently No 4, would jump to No 3 with victory.

A new name on the trophy

There will be a first-time Wimbledon ladies’ champion crowned today — for the eighth straight edition.

The last woman to defend the title here? Serena Williams in 2016.
