SWAT teams have been filmed clearing out patient rooms after a Michigan hospital worker shot one of his colleagues and injured him.
A disturbing clip shared on Facebook shortly after 8am ET showed a patient at Corewell Health in Troy Beaumont and a medic in a room as a male officer in tactical gear cleared a corridor outside.
A doctor in a white coat opened the door to the patient’s room to alert them that there was someone inside who needed brought to safety after a shooting in a nearby parking garage.
Outside, a cop could be heard telling other patients to clear the area in a single file line. Another cop holding a long rifle could then be seen asking the male doctor in the patient’s room to stay inside until told to evacuate.
The cop, who was holding a long rifle, was seen with a female medic in a white coat outside the door, with the shooter still on the loose as of 9am ET.
He asked the white-coated male medic and patient to stay in the room while they worked to evacuate others nearby.
Police say one hospital employee shot another in the complex’s parking garage after 7am. The victim, a 25 year-old man, was shot five times, including twice in the arm. He survived, is in a stable condition and was able to give police the name of his assailant.
The shooting was targeted and the suspect, described by police only as a ‘male’ fled the scene and has not yet been caught. Cops say they know his identity but are refusing to release it.
Police say they don’t think the suspect is in the hospital complex, with an ongoing lockdown set to end soon.

A nurse called Barbara who works at the hospital told WXYZ that she’d heard the shooting began in the radiology department.
A shelter in place order has been issued for the hospital, which is located 24 miles north of Detroit.
Medical workers have barricaded themselves inside the supply room as the suspect remains at large, 7News Detroit reports.
‘THIS IS AN EMERGENCY — There is an ACTIVE SHOOTER Troy Hospital in the Parking Structure building,’ a warning to staff read, Click on Detroit reports.
‘Police are enroute. Please take immediate personal safety measure and follow the run, hide, fight guidelines.
‘For those not currently at the facility, stay away. Do not return to the facility until the all clear has been signaled.’

Troy Police Department issued a statement at around 8:07am confirming a shooting had taken place.
‘We can confirm there has been a shooting at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital,’ the force wrote on X.
‘This appears to be an isolated incident however the Suspect is not in custody. Please avoid the area.’
At least two dozen law enforcement vehicles have been seen racing to the scene.
WXYZ reporter Brittany Tools who arrived at the local police station around 8am reported seeing two cops in full tactical gear and long guns rushing out the entrance and into a car before speeding off.
Corewell Health is bordered by a golf course to one side and a large woodland to the other, affording the shooter ample opportunities to hide if they’ve managed to escape the hospital complex.
