Reading Time: 5 mins read

Today we delve into the remarkable journey of Adrian Gabriel Dumitru, an essayist who has transformed personal introspection into a literary voyage.

Author of 65 books, including titles like His Love. Her Fantasy, The Karmic Charade, and The Beautiful Illusion of Being in Love, Adrian’s story is one of resilience, self-discovery, and the healing power of words.

From the early dreams of a 16-year-old aspiring writer to becoming a profound thinker, he invites readers to explore the depths of their own souls.

Join us as we uncover the inspirations, challenges, and evolving definitions of success that have shaped his unique path.

  • You started writing your first book at 16 but abandoned the idea of becoming a writer for a long time. What brought you back to writing after those 20 years? Was there a particular moment that reignited your passion?

“After abandoning writing at 16 due to publishing challenges, it was the realization, 20 years later, that writing could serve as a form of self-therapy. This shift from seeking success to seeking personal understanding and healing reignited my passion.”

  • In your bio, you mention that you’ve failed to achieve the success you were originally chasing. How has your definition of success changed over time?

“Initially, success meant recognition and publication. Over time, it evolved into a personal journey of self-discovery and healing. Success now is about understanding myself and helping others through my essays.”

  • Do you think writing as therapy can help individuals better understand themselves and heal their souls?

“Absolutely. Writing allows for deep reflection, helping individuals explore their thoughts and emotions. It’s a powerful tool for self-discovery and healing.”

  • How do you describe yourself? As a poet, writer, or an essayist?

“I see myself as a thinker. While I express thoughts like a poet or essayist, I’m neither strictly. I’m someone who analyzes life, using writing as a tool for self-therapy and exploration.”

  • You’ve published tens of books over the years. What motivates you to keep writing?

“The continuous journey of self-discovery and the desire to share insights with others motivate me. Writing is a never-ending story for me, offering both personal growth and connection with readers.”

  • Your work spans love, motivation, psychology, and spirituality. Where do you draw inspiration from?

“Inspiration comes from life’s complexities and my own experiences. The interplay of emotions and philosophical questions fuels my writing across these diverse themes.”

  • What feedback from your audience has surprised or moved you the most?

“Readers who express that my writing has helped them understand themselves better or find peace have moved me profoundly. It’s rewarding to know that my work resonates on such a personal level.”

  • Which piece of your work holds the most personal significance to you, and why?

“The Illusion of Being Part of an Illusion” holds deep significance as it encapsulates my journey of self-discovery. It reflects on the layers of perception and reality that I constantly explore.”

I’ve started to write my first book at 16 … but then … realizing i could not publish it … i’ve abandoned the idea of being a … writer. 20 years later … i’ve started to write again … believing i will finally succeed … but i’ve failed one more time … not getting the success i was chasing for. Another 5 years later … i’ve started one more time to write … but this time … more as a therapy. It’s what i’ve defined as … self therapy. I was analyzing and defining lots of weird ideas … that were a lot related to me … and my own soul. I totally forgot that i was chasing for success. I was simple writing my thoughts … in essays … becoming this way … maybe not a writer …. but what many define as … an essayist. This is not a poet … and not a writer. Or maybe is kind of a poet that is incapable of writing poetry … but is still expressing his thoughts … into a similar way … as a poet. And is not a writer … cause have not the ability to write for too long time … about the same subject. But maybe i am not an essayist… either. I am just an ordinary person … that could be better defined … as a thinker. Analyzing … and defining my life … practicing this process called … self therapy … i started to understand life … and the way to better paths which i should follow. And i’ve wrote … and wrote … and wrote … realizing one day that i’ve published tens of books …. not really understanding how the hell I’ve succeeded doing that. Today i dare to recommend writing … as a therapy. I could even say … it’s a simple way of understanding who we are … but also a process that could help us … heal our souls. I personally continue to … write. It’s in fact … a non ending story that … at least for myself … will probably continue for the rest of my life. But over all … i am glad … i am doing it. I continue my philosophical journey … not being able to define myself for clear as a writer or an essayist… but … Well …. most probably… i am on a good path. And … i would dare to recommend to everyone … all what i am doing today.
