Netflix’s newest reality TV show, Million Dollar Secret, traps 12 contestants inside a $30million Canadian château – where one is secretly hiding one million dollars, and the rest must figure out who it is before it’s too late.

In the show the beautiful château is named The Stag but it is actually Château Okanagan – a sprawling estate that rises dramatically above Okanagan Lake, surrounded by rolling vineyards, manicured gardens, and offers an overwhelming sense of seclusion.

Perched on 44 acres of pristine lakefront in Kelowna – British Columbia’s wine country – it looks like something out of a fairytale. But fairytales do come true and in reality you can actually stay there, if you have deep enough pockets.

The property is available exclusively for overnight rentals and its website says it accommodates a single group of up to 16 guests, ‘ensuring total privacy and personalized luxury’.

The site says it makes it perfect for a family reunion or corporate retreat.

Guests will find 16 sleeping quarters, a regal ballroom, a library, a games room, a theater, a wine cellar, and a private fitness center – all maintained to the highest standards.

There’s even a detached beach house for lakeside lounging and a formal office space for those who need to mix business with pleasure.

The château is fully staffed with a private chef, concierge, and valet services, ensuring no need goes unmet.

Prices on the website show April through June dates available to rent out the whole estate for $13,200 – $14,900 Canadian dollars (US$9,500 – $10,700).

The estate also boasts two seasonally heated infinity pools, including a 20-meter lap pool and a recreational pool with sweeping views of the lake and vineyards.

Whether guests are enjoying a quiet swim at sunrise or relaxing under the stars, the pool area is designed to impress.

Inside, a European-inspired wellness spa features a sauna, steam room, heated loungers, massage tables, and a hot tub – perfect for guests looking to unwind in complete privacy.

Those seeking entertainment will find a 12-seat theater with reclining chairs and surround sound, as well as a billiard parlor and board games tucked away in the upstairs loft.

Food is also a highlight: the estate chef curates menus using locally sourced ingredients, including dishes like lobster breakfast poutine, truffle BLTs, and garden frittatas.

Guests can dine al fresco on the terrace, by the fireplace, or at one of several formal indoor settings.

Fitness enthusiasts are not left behind. A private gym comes fully equipped with cardio machines, a multi-gym, free weights, and yoga mats, with adjacent terraces available for outdoor sunrise sessions.

For adventure seekers, Château Okanagan offers curated experiences like private boat tours, jet ski rentals, and winery heli-tours that lift off right from the estate.

Visitors can also book excursions such as guided fishing trips, off-site luxury motorsport laps at a nearby racetrack, or even heli-skiing in the Monashee Mountains during winter.

For sports lovers, there’s a tennis court with night lights and access to lessons from a professional coach, along with hiking trails and lawn games for more laid-back activities.

Its expansive layout and diverse amenities make Château Okanagan feel less like a rental and more like a private resort – where luxury, nature, and seclusion all converge.

Château Okanagan itself has a rich backstory. Built on land originally purchased by the Holzhey family in the late 1950s, the estate began as a personal family home for the German immigrants who fell in love with Kelowna’s rolling hills and pristine lakefront.

Over the decades, the property was expanded and refined into a wellness-focused private retreat, all while maintaining its European architectural flair.

The show’s title may refer to the million-dollar stash, but it could just as easily apply to the château itself.

With its secluded grounds, cinematic beauty, and real-life fairy tale history, Château Okanagan feels like a well-kept secret finally being revealed to the world.
